Good morning everyone, I’m Blake liuyi, a freshman from Business Administration Department. It is my great honor to give a speech here on behalf of all new students.

As we know, IBS is a really amazing place. For most of us, I’m sure, being here, the very center of culture and communication among young people from different provinces even different countries, was an important decision when we finished our high school. I believe this place has a powerful pull which can provide us with opportunities of expanding our horizon and interchanging multiangle ideas. Apart from that, activities and associations are also appealing parts. Compared with previous school life when we spent a good chunk of our allotted time on study, the campus life ahead seems more colorful. By attending many colorful activities and clubs, we can not only interact with like-minded people, but also gain friendships and experiences.

Stepping into the campus, some of us might feel uncertain or worried that we might be left behind.With tremendous amounts of pressure,we may feel nervous .However, stress is a natural stepping stone towards success, sometimes, we became so afraid of that idea of competition that we dismissed it due to enormous pressure. Even though there will be competition and stress, there will still be effort and progress. Stress should be a motivating force, not some type of pathetic excuse to give up. So let’s make it together and get ready to meet the challenge.
